The use of the medicine in pediatric patients should be carefully considered. Only a medical professional can decide if this medicine should be applied and adjust the right dose.
The medicine may be applied in pediatric patients (2-15years of age) with the symptoms of nausea and vomiting after chemotherapy. The dose for such patients is 0.04-0.08 mg per kg before chemotherapy.
Lorazepam is used in children (1month -12 years) to treat anxiety in the dose of 0.02-0.1 mg per kg as needed.
Sedation:
1 month-12 year children the dose is 0.05 mg/kg, maximum 2 mg/dose.
13-18 year children the dose is oral: 0.05 mg/kg, maximum 4 mg/dose.
Epilepsy:
Children from1 month to 12 years are prescribed 0.05-0.1 mg/kg (maximum: 4 mg/dose).
Children from 13 to 18 years usually receive 0.07 mg/kg (maximum: 4 mg/dose).
